Thanks to the help offered on a previous thread about my wife's 76 Vette, and to other tidbits of BB Chevy knowledge from this board, I finally found the right engine at the right price. Running 454 from 1 ton truck, 4 bolt, 80K miles, tired and in need of a rebuild. Since it doesn't cost that much more to rebuild a 454 than a 350, I'll go ahead and spend the $400. This should be fun to drive when it's finished. Thanks Guys!
