You dawg!!! Cool ride! What are your plans?

Local Ford dealer had a pretty solid '63 with a good running 260 and AT sitting on their back row about 10 years ago for $600. By the time I convinced myself I should buy it it was gone. The people that bought it gave it to their kid and you can guess the rest............ .

Great find and the price is right. What are your plans for it?
A girlfriend of mine had one of those, it was a green 6 cylinder 4-speed.

Now ain't it funny how perceptions change...

A buddy of mine had one of those in about 1973 ... his Mommy gave it to him when he turned 16. It was pastel greeny-blue (or perhaps "Robin's Egg" blue to those of you with female color-recognition ability... ) and we used it call it the "Geek-mobile".

It was a 170(?) 6-banger with a 3-on-the tree. He used to rev the snot out of it and side-step the clutch. This behaviour eaned him the nickname "Hi-Revvin' Trevor".

Oh yeah ... his next car was a PINK 64 Merc with a (240) 6-banger 3-on-the tree. Looking back, I'm beginning to wonder about that boy.

Another friend and I helped him yank out the 240 and replace it with a 352 4-bbl (oooh - ahhh ... powwwerrr )

Anyways ... thanks for the memory-refresher. And now I could definetely see that little Comet tubbed out with a snappy litle SBF in there. What a hoot that would be!

Hmmmmm....... lets see: I foresee a 460/C6 combo, slightly lowered but pretty much stock appearing with a nice set of Konis and 50 series tires. 0-60 in a flash.

It belonged to my ex mother-in-laws brother. He knew I worked on cars and asked if I would be interested in it. Medical problems kept him from restoring it himself.

That car wouldn't have looked like the Merc in my gallery, would it?

Just curious, Chet.
