Scratch Built Cars...(Home Made Rods)

Me and Cboy talked one time about having a thread here just on home made cars,, I thought It would be cool to have them all in one thread..I don't want this turning into a contest.. Just wanting all home made cars in one thread...It has to be a car that you built the whole car from scratch.. (HOME MADE)..Now I'm not trying to put anyone down for not ever doing a home made car before..Just wanting all the home made cars in one spot..Thank and I will try In post my pictures,, But may need help from the Mods to get the right size.. Thanks.. Lets have some fun with this.. I know we have had a few home made cars here. so let's post them here..

I did this 32 Chevy first.. All fiber glass and hand build the whole car..

Then built this rat rod .. all steel and hand built..This whole build from start to finish, can be seen here..New Homemade Ratrod In The Making!!!

Thanks for posting this thread. It will inspire others to try scratch building. I have a question, what front end was used on the Gray Car, was it built on a doner frame and if so, what frame was used ? I like the look.

The first Grey car has a home made frame and grill..
The last Grey car was build on a S-10 frame..And the grill is home made..

Them cars were built by the older guy in the picture, He's a old friend of mine.. Iron Man Joe.. He does have a way of coming up with some crazy stuff, He has built as many as 40 home made cars..

Yea the last gray car. that looks cool. most people don't like the bulky looking front end's but I kinda like them.I guess im just odd or maybe it is just my mental problems that make me want to do things that are out in left field.

Guy's sorry about these really big picture's,, I have a few people trying to get them to the right size,, I do hope everyone here that does do home made will post.. And we do have some here that have some very nice build's.. Hope everyone enjoys this thread,, And it is to have them all together, And to help Motivate people to try in step out of the box,,There's a GREAT FEELING and building something from Scratch,, And the reward is something you can't explain.. But #1 rule is make Da*** sure you can weld first,, That is the most important thing there is in a home made rod..We see so many car artist that have past on, And now the true art of creating a true custom car is gone away...Just go to the World of wheels and you will know what I'm talking about... I want to do this to help show it can be done..The sky is the limit !!! Check out the cool cars that Cboy has done,,Great car for sure..Check out the build I did on the rat truck.. I can't explain how easy that truck is to build..He** I did it !!! anyone can,, ''SET NO LIMIT'S'' on yourself..Look at my 32 roadster that's a first time build..A lot more work then the truck.. If you feel you can't !!! then don't !!!! But you will never know if you don't try.. I hope that people like Cboy and myself and a lot of other's here, will one day kick the door wide open for everyone to start building home made rods.. This thread has nothing to do with making anyone better then the other, But to show people to ''LET GO OF YOUR FEAR''.. And remember the only person that hold's you back in life is : ''YOURSELF''

And believe me, there is some out there, That won't even give this Thread a second look.... Their lost !!!! Some look at this as the same as the rat rod class.. If it isn't real, Then it isn't a real car...Sorry I see it different,, It's all art to me... Some better then other's,, But it is a car.. And Henry ford put his paint's on, the same way we do..

Here are my scratchers. You can view the entire build for the roadster here. And the sedan deliver build is here.

I also own this scratch built pickup...but I didn't build it.

Well i weigh in at just over 2200 pounds but the 2 above my sure kicked my ***! I have learned alot from building my own car, one of the main things is many start and not many finish. What gave me the idea was when i first got on the site i seen Cboys truck in the making and then New Interiors work made me wanna give it a shot. I spent alot of time on my build and learned alot from it, not everything came out the way i wanted and there are many things i would do different down the road but i tell you what its a blast to drive! Towards the end i kinda rushed things because i came across some other builds i wanted to start on (like the truck next to my car in the pics) and for now its good enough and would much rather put money in to my next build. A big thanks go out to all the people that gave support, ideas, and things i could of done to make it better. Here are a few pics weather is starting to turn south up here and the days are getting short so it doesnt have great light. Keep up the good work everyone!!

im not that great with this yet hope my pics work
