Exclamation scratch in paint

My new 2003 car got keyed on the passengers side rear door. The scratch is about 8 inches long. Can a paint shop retouch a scratch . Or is there any way I can try to get it smoothed out my self. I have tried lightly buffing with rubbing compoud. But the scratch is a little to deep for buffing out...... I was able to get some of the scratch out but it is still visible. And I do not want to create any other problems by rubbing on it..........

Thanks........

More than likely it is deep enough the body shop will have to repair it. When they get done you won't even notice. It should fall under your comprehensive insurance so the deductible is usually less on that, somewhere around $50-100 deductible.
