Screen Vaporizer for a 4bbl??

Hey I was wondering if there is such a thing as a electric vaporizer screen that u can put under a 4bbl carb for the winter time. Unfortunatly my engine has a very tough time firing when its cold out.. part of the problem is the intake manafold design, the carb sits over the #3-4 cyl..(BTW its a V6 with custom intake) So all it does it dumps the fuel into those cyl and fouls them, and then the others lean out.. I beleve that a vaporizer screen like the ones found on 4cyl chevettes would help my problem by heating the mixture.. This works very well on the 4cyl chevettes, good enough that u can start one at -35 w/o a choke

There may of been something of that sort made, but if from GM, it would be for a Quadrajet. What carb are you using?

If you took a Chevette one apart, you might be able to make something.................That would be real hotrodding.............

I would be looking for a different intake design if I had problems like that. Seems like that wouldn't be good in warm weather either. Just my opinion though. Perry.

I`ve seen on varajet carbs (primary half of a Q-jet) have heaters under the carb. You could likely use one of these to fabricate to fit inside the air cleaner. This would also eliminate throttle blade icing.

I thought that they were called .."Dualjet".........Quadrajet with the secondaries sealed off

It was "Durajet" btw, and I already have a chevette, I have 3 but they fit V6's (look in my photo album). I thouhgt up a new design that I may try, but the heater grill would kick *** because there is a 390cfm holley tunnelram carb on it, And it cant even fit a choke into it unless I did some drilling to the choke horn.. and as for the idea of taking a heater grill of somthing else and making it fit I have thought about it but i wanted to juss make sure there wasnt an easyer way first..
