I like Seafoam. I have a 86 Ford 5.0L that had a sticking exhaust lifter and the seafoam added to the oil freed it up. I normally wouldn't recommend adding a solvent to crankcase oil as it could potentially loosen up sludge and block oil galleries. I used it in the crankcase as an "emergency" fix and got lucky. 15,000 miles later the car still runs fine. If you use it in the top end, as others have said, a huge cloud of white smoke will surround you and your car killing every mosquito within a 50 mile radius of ground zero! I use it in the gas tank about once a month.
