Hello Im new to this board. I need some advice on fixing my car the right way. The only people I trust are TRUE car enthusiats.
I brought my car to the body shop and they took off the weatherstripping on the roof of the car. The one that goes to windshield to rear window. I got it back loose.... So what I did was used 3m Weatherstrip adhesive to put it back on and it worked but the back still kind of sticks up. My car also leaks when I put water down this weatherstrip channel and goes inside the car. It goes through the metal seams. I already replaced the rear hatch weatherstripping and it wasnt that so I know its the seam. What is the right product to use? Here is a picture of what Im talking about.
Also I was getting wate in the spare tire area from driing in the rain. The water will kick up in the wheelwells and get inside. So I bought some 3M windowweld and applied it. I took off both rear wheels and applied it from there and then I used Loclite rubberized undercoating on the wheelwells also. So far no leaks from the wheelwells now. Was the urathane the right product to use for wheelwells? I know its for windshelds but a friend at a body shop said to use it.
I know it's not a hot-rod but hot-rodders are more knowledeable and would rather ask you guys.
Thank you
