Sealer on Head Gaskets
 

I am about to install iron vortec heads on my 350 using Felpro 7733PT2 gaskets.

Do I need to apply sealer to these? The general instructions that were included say to install fiber faced head gaskets dry but how do I know if these are fiber faced?! They're blue, so is the blue material the fiber coating?

Does block deck surface finish dictate the need for sealer regardless of gasket type?

I have Permatex Copper Hi-Temp Sealant in case I do need to use it.

Blue Fel Pro gaskets go on dry man. Can you see metal underneath? Around the cylinders? if so the blue will melt down under heat and seal off.
