sealer qustion

after i apply sealer over my primer can i sand it or not.I just wanna make sure its smooth.

If its a urethane sealer it does not have to be sanded.
But you can if need be. Urethane sealers are make to spray slick so they don't create texture for that reason.
Urethane sealers are made with a very tightly wound resin for hold out and adhesion because of this you should never use more than one coat, if two coats are applied it can cause die-back in the clear due to the tight resin system.
A urethane sealer is totally different than reducing a 2K primer and using as a sealer. (all for the better)

can any 2k be used as a sealer?I shot transtar 2k and wouldnt mind using it again to seal.If i do use it as a sealer how much can i reduce it?The can says no no more than 20%.If i cut it more than that will i run into problems.

Sure you can, most 2K primers when used as a sealer they never want it reduced more than 25% max for fear of resin kickout.

Due yourself a real favor here and use a slower urethane reducer such as 1/2 DT 870 with 1/2 DT 885 or straight 885 use any brand just stay away from Nason, Omni, Western reducers.
