Hello everyone, I've posted a few times here but this is the first thread I've started.
I tried to search as best as I could before asking so please excuse any oversights.
I am paining a Mustang convertible back to red, however, it won't be the factory red. I plan on using HOK Meteor Maroon (a metallic color), which is a very close match to factory but a bit more custom.
I'm looking for suggestions on tinting the sealer for better coverage and to help hide the eventual chips.
Here is a sample of the Ko-Seal II tintable sealers on the TCP Global site using KS12 - silver sealer tinted with KK11 apple red, I will be going with something a bit darker for the tint like Burgundy.
Since I'm painting with a metallic color, I'm wondering what your opinions of the effects of having a "silver" tinted sealer would be (like this example shows)?
If it were you, would you stick with the white sealer and tint of my choice?
I will be using HOK Kandy Koncentrate paint for the tinting, as they recommend, however, I'm not sure if these paints are high concentrated specifically for tinting or if it's just a paint that can be used to tint.
Thanks in advance, any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
