Sealing a poly tank?
 

I'd like to seal some ports on the sump of this cell. Because my car is a hatch I've built a steel box to place the tank in. I'd like to seal the holes of the old fittings and relocate them to the bottom of the sump. (marked with yellow grease pencil).

The surface of the tank is so oily and slick I was wondering what I could use to seal the original holes it? I'll be running e85 so it has to be compatible. I know JB weld is not ethanol compatible from past experience. I suppose I could just cap the two fittings and run another one. I'd like to reuse/relocate the fittings if possible though.

Removing fittings...
 

Hi,remove the fittings,then using 40 grit sandpaper,rough up that area,very good,(about a 3 inch square) then using EPOXY and 10 ounce cloth,put about 3 to 4 layers of cloth on,( I would use 10 ounce boat cloth)(fiberglass cloth) where the holes are ,in the 3 inch square,,then using a spatula (metal or plastic,) remove excess epoxy from cloth. leave it for 24 hours,in a warm place,you will be good to go.

Do you know if most epoxy/resins are compatible with ethanol? Any specific ones that you know 100% are? I've had problems in the past with certain epoxies etc....
