Seam Sealer When to Apply?

Need to use some seam sealer on my rain gutters and around my rear door on my delivery, should you apply this before or after I spray my fill primer or does it matter? Thanks

It really does not matter.
I do mine over epoxy.
It will work fine over a 2K primer but would not apply over a lacquer or acid etch.

To add to the above, the ideal way would be over epoxy for best long term results.
However both the single component and two component seam sealers will work great over bare metal.

Put down a good bare metal primer before using any seam sealers. I've seen many failures when the technician applies the sealer over bare metal. If you read the instructions on almost all seamsealers it clearly states to be applied over a primer. I will not apply any seam sealer over bare metal reguardless if it's a laquer base, urethane, or two component product. Look at most of the cars produced in the 60's and 70's and you'll see failures in the sealer areas where the sealer has cracked and corrosion starts because there is nothing under the sealer to protect the bare steel- Mopars were the worst from what I've seen.
