Seat belts

i wanna know, why is it that the marketplace seems to have a lack of proper information in upgrading the seatbelts in older cars? it seems that you can either get the factory repop stuff, universal no-name stuff, or the 4-6 point harnesses. also, i know from doing the 5 and 6 point harnesses in the road race vettes that there is a proper angle for the shoulder harnesses. there is no real mention of this on the seatbelt sites. dont they worry about spinal compression with their products???

ok, thats enough of a rant. ive wasted two hours looking for a simple seatbelt upgrade for a 65 el-calmino. you can get the lap belts, or go custom from what ive found so far. ive got a package tray behind the front seats that would give me the proper shoulder belt harness angle, but it doesnt seem too bright to hook seatbelts into 1/16 thick shhetmetal. any ideas on this??? we just need to make the car somewhat safer.

thanks
Michael

Julianos makes belts and mounting accessories. Here are the plates with rounded edges so they don't cut the base metal.
