I have a split bench with a fold down arm rest in the middle out of a mid 70's Olds Tornado in my '53. Fits with a bit more than an inch to spare each side. Leather too.

I used early seventies Olds buckets in mine. Not much room left between them. They sure were comfortable though. Tilted forward so I could get to the speakers behind the seats (built a box for them). Lots of room under them as well for battery cables, tools, etc.

I have a mid-70s Monte Carlo split bench w/arm fold-down, like Centerline. It fits nicely ... but I plan on replacing it with 2 seats, allowing me to build a center console (later this year).

Basically, *anything* that measures correctly (front to back, left to right) can be installed.

Ok, I've seen this question about 10 times now, and I have to finally get off my duff and do something about it.

One of my classic truck magazines did an article a couple of years back on just this topic. The article supplied the interior dimensions to several different classic trucks, and made various suggestions as to what newer seats would fit. The article covered both bench and bucket seats, and offered advice on mounting the seat tracks.

I'll get off my rear-end this weekend and track that article down, and if I can find a link to it online, I'll do that. If it isn't available online, I'll figure out a way to post the info here.

Have a bit of patience though - I have about 5 years worth of at least three different titles to search through...
