Post Seats for 69 Camaro SS

Hey...
New member here...

I have a 69 Camaro that was used for drag racing before it came to be mine. So nothing on the car is "sacred" in terms of matching numbers, etc. I've been slowly doing things to put the car on the road, started out replacing all the ball joints (3 were original) and doing brakes. Next, had the upper rear shock mounts redone, as the areas were pretty crappy. I had the 456's replaced with some 373's so you can actually drive it instead of using it to pull stumps with.

Now, I'm starting to look at the interior. The car has a set of Mopar seats in it, which arent really comfortable, and don't look like much either. I'd like to replace them, but I'm not sure what with? Are there guidelines regarding what WILL fit and what won't?

Btw...I'm pretty new at working on the Camaro, but I do know which end of a wrench to hold...

Jim

Hey Lob, welcome!
Any bucket seat will fit, as long as you can make a bracket to bolt in there. So it pretty much depends on what style you want and how much money you want to put out for seats.

Seats for 69

I've seen quite a few guys fitting their cars with newer model Camaro/Firebird power buckets.....bolt right in. I've also seen a couple where they worked the rear leather seats in too. Very nice. I'm planning to do the switch mysefl in my 69 Bird.
