The secrets of rust removal part II

Not too long ago there was a thread on rust removal.Im in the process of replacing the windshield on one of my cars.Once I got all the trim off the car I found a few spots of rust in the windshield frame, some pretty bad. Some like to grind, media blast, convert the rust but I always use Navel Jelly or acid to remove it.In the past ive used battery acid to dissolve the rust but this time I used Navel Jelly. This stuff must have a shelf life, the bottle ive had for a year didnt work so I went and got a new bottle, worked like a charm. The secret to removing the rust with this acid is you have to keep the area wet................

Nice job.

What did you treat the pinch-weld with after your rust removal?

I recently went thru this process with my '69 Vette and used epoxy primer.
