If you want to just sew fabric together a home machine will work fine. If you want to sew any of the parts with sew foam under them, you will need an industrial sewing machine. The home sewing machine can sew whatever you want, but it can't feed a bunch of layers of fabric and sew foam through smoothly or at all. The reason for this is that home sewing machines are usually either drop feed or needle feed with no walking foot, and a compound walking foot machine is usually a combination of both feed systems and has a walking foot. Home machines also won't have as much foot lift as an industrial machine.
