Sedan Delivery pictures
I got that 1955 Ford sedan delivery home today that I bought over a week ago.
Me and the 55, my daughter hates that yellow t-shirt. Closeup Fortunately I got another rear door with the deal. Here is the Y-block that came with it. It's supposed to be a 292 cid. One thing that I know for sure is that it did not come out of this car since it has the wrong motor mounts. |

The 55 looks like it needs a little rust repair, but hey, it is a sedan delivery and will be cool beyond cool on the road. Nice find, crash. Tell your daughter you think you'll paint it yellow to match your shirt.
Let's see, yellow, Cragars, low, loud, and fast, I like it. Dan |

Cragars sound good, I'm not sure about the yellow but yellow cars stand out. I'm pondering the drive train. I have a 9-inch rear out of a 57 fairlane that should bolt right in. Should I go with that HO 302 and AOD from that wrecked 88 Lincoln LSC GTC? That would get tolerable gas mileage. But I have this little voice in my head that keeps whispering 390 FE. I have had a couple of friends that have dropped 390s in their 55 and 56 Fords with favorable results. I could use those 370 gears that I have from an F100 in that 9-inch housing. Maybe I should use a C6 automatic? I do have a four speed overdrive transmission from a Ford van that is just taking up space. I wonder how that would work with a 390 and 370 gears?
I could just go on and on about the possibilities. My wife told my kids that I just bought a life-sized model car, some assembly required. |

, I vote for the original color, steel wheels with factory dog dish caps and blackwalls. . Drop the 5.0 and an AOD in it with AC and drive it forever. Paint "Crash Farmer's Seed & Feed" on the rear panels and then wash it out so it looks original to the car. |

Crash,
Why not send a couple pics over to the new Hot Rod Art forum and let them have at it for wheels, color, stance, and custom fabrications.
