Seized Cyclinder Head Bolts

SEIZED CYCLNDER HEAD BOLT
cyclinder head gasket blown.Engine still to ticking over with slight miss. Removed head but found some bolts seized. Wd 40 does not help as i cannot soak bolts. Is there a way this can be loosened without damaging aluminium head. thanks

Are the bolts seized in the alum. head or the alum. block? If it's the block the bolts are probably "galled" which means that the threads are locked into the alum block material and they are a beoch to get out. You can use a torch to heat the block but obviously you have to be VERY careful with how much heat is applied....just enough to loosen the bolt......trail and error and of course keeping your fingers crossed. Then use a good anti-seize lube when putting it back together

Which bolts are seized? How did the head come off with seized bolts?
