Well I'm in a serious rut for cash.My hotrod is haveing headers made and during this process I lost one of my income sources.
Well anyway I just put my old reliable motor in the paper today.
What do ya think Its a 350,010 block,mild cam,305 heads,approx 80K mi. on it,have some of the reciepts(cam and valve job).
It ran real strong when I pulled it and had alittle over 50psi oil pressure while drivng hot and about 12psi at idle hot.
I put it for $400 or BO was that good price to ask???

One thing I'm wondering is its sat on the stand for about 1 1/2yrs.Do ya think the valve seals are still good,they were new umbrellas that went in with the valve jo in 99??
I just don't wanna deal with pissed off people that think there getting a new crate motor for $350,Ya know??

That sounds like a fair price for a running 350.

Of course, if you're like me you'll get a million calls from "tire kickers" who feel you should pay them to take it, or guys who say they'll be right over and never show up. Why don't they just say they're not interested.

Yea,figured thats a good price I just hate selling things.You allways get some idiot that thinks he should get more for his money.
I know I would pay $400 for a motor like this.
Its just last time I sold something I got a screaming @sshole on the phone a couple hours later and I ended up taking my stuff back and lossing $$$ just to shut this @sshole up,so I don't want to deal with this on this motor deal.I just need the cash.

i recently sold a pontiac 400 for $500 and it wasnt assembled, no new parts or anything! looked like crap, no idea how it ran, and then the kid gave me $100 more plus gas to deliver it to him! so i think where you are at is good price, i would still ask $400
