SEM color coat question
Im wondering if the SEM flame red color coat will cover black leather or does it need a lighter base? or is there a better vinyl/ leather coloring system out there?

I had a similiar question for I was going from dark green (forest green) to white. I was told to use the SEM surface prep product after washing with the SEM soap, and to allow the dye to build up with light coats. This information comes from the body shop selling the products. The dye will literally dye the material unlike paint which covers the surface. I'm not a pro, just what they told me. By the way, I converted my hard rubber steering wheel to white and it's holding up well, no chips or flakes, nothing even close, and it looks like it was white all along.
