sem hot rod black

Just curious to see if anyone knows how many quarts or sem hot rod black I would need to purchase to paint my entire 68 firebird.

4 quarts is a good rule of thumb, you dont want to run out of paint; hell i dropped my 'cup' once....let me tell you how mad you get LOL Then I was a nervous nelly because I didnt know if I had enough to do the job. I did but I didnt have enough left over for touch ups. If you're mail ordering the paint, you're better off having too much than not enough

That's what I figured 4 quarts and I know the pain I dropped a cup of paint last time before I decided to change the paint job and I was one posses dude lil. Thanks for the info.

I did. I just started painting I don't know anything about the paints I'm just going by what people say work best for them. I'm trying to get a good paint for not very much $. Like $300 tops for the paint, reduced, catalyst, etc... your the only one that has said anything about spi paint so I didn't know.

SpI is $189 for 5 sprayable quarts.
You asked on another post and othersrecommend SPI
Do what ya want to do, but when it bites ya in the arse, oh well
If ya gotta sand that SEM CRAP, it'll do nuttin but load up paper tryin to get it off/

Dont know why you to guys are a ting imature for all i asked was how many quarts do i need that was the entire question. I started talking to another guy and you to lil lids popped up acting like 5 year olds. Have some respect for the site and the people on it.
