Here also in Portland, I recommend a meeting and conversation with Mike McKennet. Mike and I are fellow Oregon State grads 1969, with Mike's degree being in Mechanical Engineering. Mike was an ME for Hyster for a few years, then gambled upon making his passion (metal work) his profession. Today, Mike's Restorations and Reproductions is among the nation's premiere restoration and rod building shops, based in Gresham. Give Mike a call, and mention that "Buck" said to contact him.
