A fun summer activity, a trip to a used car lot. It cannot be just any car lot though.

I could be having too much fun but I enjoy a parade whether I'm in it or watching.

The Chaperon

Most Drive-in's offered 2 to three movies each night. The first movie was the top billing and what followed were at best good filler for make out time. There was block busters showed at drive -ins in the 1950's and 1960's. the 1970's Brought us the B rated movies Such as Corvette Summer and other car movies. The outlaw biker movies was a big thing. Most of the guys that cruised Northern California in the seventies brought there best rod and date to show off both. the movie parking humps turned into a show and shine. Some drive in's even offered car hops. The guy you had to feel sorry for was the guy how brought his Hot Rod but was suck with A tag along Called a chaperon , What a drag, this almost guaranteed a short no action night. After a trip to the burger bar to tell everyone what a drag it was.The Girl would be labeled, Do Not Date or take your chances. No one wanted to waste a Friday or Saturday night. Because it was not over until the sun came up. Signed Vagabond Road Artist : Lincoln Highway Johnny

Thank-you Brickyard Boy.. It is fun to remember the past and add the details to the art work. Although I was lucky to never have a Chaperon < Life is GOOD. Signed: Lincoln Highway Johnny
