Septembers Hotrodders Art Contest Begins Now "69 to 72 Buicks" Any Style

This one is for Dave (Omega)........ 1969 to 1972 Buicks, any model. This car doesn't really get a lot of respect from hot rodders, but I think you guys can come up with some great takes on this ride.

Mark will decide when the voting will start and I'm sure he'll post here when he has a moment ...... good luck to all this month.

Bob

(Edit) This added by Mark........

Septembers Hotrodders Art Contest Begins Now "69 to 72 Buicks" Any Style .

A close finish between a few members made this tight all the way to the ending of the august Hotrodders art Contest with Member 57Corvette taking the honors again, but this time alone not shared, a great accomplishment to his work. During the past holiday weekend, 57 Corvette opted to allow members of the contest to add in idea's for the subject matter pointing first at Bowtiekid who is one of the contests best supporters, he declined gracefully and the second choice came from Member "Omega" for a Muscle Car Battle featuring the Buicks of 69 to 72. Member 57corvette has now added this as the official contest subject matter and the contest is now ready to be underway.

Entries will begin now September 5th and contine until September 27th allowing a little extra time for our late start because of the holiday weekend. This should bring Buick Fanatics into a craze as I'm sure many will await the outcome and the entries that have been submitted by the artist.

Voting will begin on September 27th after all entries are submitted, a grace period will also be allowed for one day if anyone needs some extra time, the polls automatically close 5 days after they open by the way the board is configured and here's to a fun and informative competition amongst some exceptional artists in their field of expertise.

57 Please feel free to copy or quote me into the top post if you would like this to be seen as members look for the subject and contest rules.

Sincerely Mark

Thank you... I'm super excited this month.. Buicks are amazing in my mind... I owned a 70 skylark. You'd be amazed at the amout of torque and HP Buick engines have, even stock.

Ever heard of the old Buick/Hemi shootout..... Buick 455 outran the hemi 2 out of 3 races...

Not trying to start any fights, And yes I know I'm bias cause I like em... but I guess thats all I've really owned in the line of american muscle.....

I know there'll be some awsome work done this month..
Thanks again.. I' need to get going..

Just a little to early to include the buick omega and regal. I forsee a lot of skylark/ gs's in this contest.
My parents had a pea green old skylark for awhile when I was probably about 10 or 11. Remember mom putting it in the ditch in winter bringing me and my brother home from the rollerskating rink (do they still have those?)
They later sold it to my uncle for something like 100 bucks, and remember he put some bullet holes in it with his shotgun. Guess cool old cars weren't always appreciated as much.

shotgun Holes!!!!!!

I wish I'd known you then, I could patch up the holes no problem. I understand putting it in the ditch, the torque is almost uncontrolable...lol

But for real. I would've never believed they were quick cars had I not owned one. Most people, not car people, don't even know the difference between 350 buick and 350 chevy.... Obviously not a winter vehicle, but thats a given, with power and rearwheel drive... not good.

If your not a buick lover, or believer, check out U-Tube, theres many videos online showing buick at its best. And yes I know, if I'd owned a chevy, I'd be rootin for the bowtie, but I didn't....\

Really waitin on some artwork guys..

So excited! Dave
