Serial Number quest

Ok, a friend of mine picked up an old straight 8, have no clue of where or what it came out of. I think it might be from an old Packard or something along those lines. It could be out of an old gasser semi for alll I know. But I was given this serial number off the block : 62658407. Anyone know anything or where I could find more info for this engine?

It is an over head valve engine, so it has to be relatively modern in era's.

Nah! You can hot rod that straight 8 and get enough power and torque to tip the car over when you hit the petal! Go to Inliner's site for info. And not only that it wouldn't be just another SBC.
