Serious steering problem!

I've just started driving the '68 Nova and have some serious steering issues. The entire front end is new, bushings, tie rods and ends, springs, etc, and a fresh alignment which went well.

Driving on a flat relatively smooth surface the car will make a move right or left out of the blue. If I were at highway speed I'm sure it would change lanes before I could reel it in. It's power steering and the box doesn't seem to have excessive play. One thing that concerns me is the rag joint. I've seen pictures of manual steering joints that look way sturdier than mine, mine is simply the flexible rag joint with flat pie shaped metal pieces under the bolts that turn down over the edge a small ways. seems like a sloppy and very flexible connection to the steering box shaft. I actually tore a new one apart while dropping the steering column wiring the car. Can someone post a picture or link to one that shows a complete power steering rag connection for a '68 Nova?

Thanks, Larry

Looks interesting, I'll look at my column end to see if it will work on that end.

They have weld-on and "DD". What would "DD" mean?

Thanks, Larry

I think that means 'double-D' shaft, in other words it is a round shaft with two flats on opposite sides.
