Seville caliper question(conversion)

Helped a friend with a rear disc conversion, after reading through the archives I'm thinking that the parking brake actuating arm ratchet assy. isn't working properly. On the drivers side when you manually rotate the arm you feel resistance, on the passenger side when you move the arm it moves freely and you never feel resistance like on the oposite side. The pedal feels soft the brakes do work but I'm thinking there may be something wrong with the adjuster internally? Any thoughts. Thanks, Eric

The parking brake arms must be actuated probably a good 20? times to make sure it's set. If not the pad will be too far away from the rotor, thus low brake pedal. Once it gets going you should be able to watch the piston start puhing on the pad. Start there if you didn't work the actuators good enough .
