No, it's just a different type of machine than the Singer 111W and all the clones of that machine that are out there. I prefer the 111w's vertical axis hook that loads bobbins from the right side of the needle, but that's just a personal preference. On the 111W the bobbin case doesn't come out to load bobbins, they just drop in. The Tacsew will still sew an auto interior just fine. That servo motor is not the greatest, but again, you're not going to make a living with the machine.
