Sewing in a straight line?

What's the best way to learn how to do this? It seems to be a combination of learning to control the machine speed at a slow pace and paying attention.

It's just like getting to sing at Carnegie Hall............. practice, practice, practice. Hold the two pieces of fabric together and let the machine pull it through. The only thing you need to do is keep the fabric from hanging up as the machine sews.
