maybe if she had a few upgrades.... but anyone besides me notice the last name is the same as chuck hansen on horsepower TV? any chance they're related?
Hey guys, a little close to the edge .........was going dump this one, not so much about the girl, but because I thought it went to a commercial site. Once looking at the site, there is some interesting info there. Maybe you guys should stop putting down a girl that you don't have a hope of getting and check out the rest of the site. Here is the home page.......
sorry poncho... i really don't have anything against her... she is cool... and on overhauling she atleast got her hands dirty... hence the reason i thought she might be related to chuck hansen on horsepower TV. the new girl on overhaulin i am yet to see her break a window or even carry a greasy bolt...

chuck is the big guy, and he is the one that is always with the dirty hands and clothes... taking off the old stuff.. joe is the smaller guy always wearing the gloves and carrying the new clean parts...
She has been around racecars her whole life. Her father, Jerry Hansen, owned Brainerd International Raceway in Minnesota and was a fantastic driver also.

Oh, Ok......................He gets a little dirty..Nobody in that shop gets very dirty. How can you when all you use is brand new, not to mention, free parts. ....
Hes the guy that says at the end of the segment...."All that will set you back is $XXX"..................like it's chump change............... ain:
what i want to see them do i a junkyard budget buildup... like go to a local junkyard and build something that will handle good, make decent rimes, and do it all with bone yard knowledge... like even a fox muxtang would be ok, or a 82 something camaro... motor, trans, suspension, rearend... all doable... only new stuff would be essentials, like cam, hoses, belts, etc... but make a budget and come in uder it... by hitting the swapmeets, they could do wonders, but yeah only set you back $300, here $150 there... wow. i'd like to have that money tree they got in the back...

A junkyard buildup = no $$$$ for promoters. How is Dart supposed to sell you heads & a block if the show they sponsor shows you how to build a strong engine from stock parts?
I really haven't cared for her or the race car chick that was on before. I do like the chick on the 4x4 show....but they cast her as a little girl sometimes.
i agree... all about sponsers... but as for show girls... Jessi from extreme 4X4 got some skills.... wasn't she on monster garage too? but she know how to do fab work, and can weld... two thumbs up in my book....  ...
as for the other girls,, good for eye candy, but please hand me that 9/16" combo wrench over there on the floor...

I think overhaulin' would be better without any hosts! This season they are attempting this whole "skit" thing.. its even more lame. Also i cant believe that anyone who watches overhaulin' is actually fooled when their car is over hauled...
I have noticed alot recently that when people are told they have been overhauled, then they go see the car, they are wearing different outfits? whats up with that? I think its way more scripted than you think.
as for hosts of Spikes HOTROD block..give me Danica Patrick anyday, I'll show her some household appliances...
Paul,
They typically are scammed during the day, when they are accessable. Then brought to the studio, and change into Overhaulin Swag. The reveal seems to end up later in the day. Plenty of time to change. Gotta be flying the colors...
Yeah, but thats recent. in the first season It used to be they'd get the final prank then walk in to see the car. This new method leaves me to believe, that the car is not finished at the final prank.
the viewer sees the car first off camera, and finally
that the show is more scripted than they claim...
Does anybody know what the Overhauled car owner is responsible for when their car is finished? I mean they have to pay taxes on whatever was put on their car, don't they. I'm sure it can't all be free. There has got to be some expense to the owner. And also, what do you all think is the average "part" cost put on these cars?
