I have a Astro HVLP and I love it. But it didn't perfom well untill
I got enough air to it. A typical HVLP problem.
The standard 1/4" fittings on hoses are just not big enough.
I switched to 3/8" fittings and a bigger 1/2" hose and my gun is totally
a different gun, better than ever before.
Whatever you get make sure you can supply it with enough air volume.
Otherwise you'll never get its true potential.

As far as tip sizes check your paint data sheets for that info..each paint maker has recommendations for their material..
