Sharpe Finex FX1000 ?

Anyone have any experience with the Sharpe Finex FX1000? (I can find some chatter about the FX100 but I found an add for a FX1000 and I don't know if it's a type-o). So if this is the leaking gasket gun that everyone is complaining about what is a good detail gun in the $150 range? Should I spend more?

No it is not a typo, Sharpe has replaced the 100 with the 1000. I have the 100 and find it to be a very good gun. I do not know about any leaking issues with either, but do know that I have had no problems of any sort with my 100.
$150 sounds a bit high though.

I have had good experiances ordering from them, some others have not.

Thanks for the info. I'm a total rookie when it comes to pneumatic painting. I'm starting out with my bike first (tank and fenders). I figure a detail gun is what I need for this project. Am I on the right track?

The Finex 100 (I assume the 1000 also)is a good gun for panel work, have fun !
