Shed a tear

My Grandmother has a '70 Dodge Coronet R/T 500 2dr hardtop sitting in her garage. Its as straight as an arrow. Its been sitting for 20 years, at least. My uncle left it behind when he went to Vietnam. Hes still around but moved to Michigan, a long time ago
I keep hearing "one of these days". Ive been hearing that for as long as i can remember. I offer to help her, but there's always somethin.
Thats a fine piece of machinery just sitting and sitting and sitting year after decade. I mean, WTF!!!! My grandfather doesnt care if i grab it, but "OH NO ONE OF THESE DAYS!!!"
If she was going to do a GD thing with it, it would have already been done.
What the hell is the matter with her???

What an idiotic way to be. I just sold one of my guitars because i dont use it, and it was a nice one. I was truthful with myself, why let it collect dust if someone else will get enjoyment??
Maybe thats what it boils down to, people dont want others to get enjoyment out of it.

I agree w/you stinky, the way I look at it IF you havent done anything with it in over a year let alone SEVERAL YEARS, you most likely never will, hell it took me 30yrs to talk my cousin out of the 40 ford P/U that sat in his yard since 1957 after it cracked the block, sad thing is, by the time I got to it, it was in really sad shape & beyond what I could do to save it. BUT, I did save it & then resold it & its back on the road again. That guy had more $$$$$$$$$$ & time & or talent then I did....joe

There is a woman that lives behind me and she I would say is in her late 40's early 50's with a 1958 88 ,350 rocket.. salmon pink orginal paint and the seats have the factory plastic still on them . She has let the engine sieze.. the paint is covered in tree sap cause its in a carport that leaks. and the orginal tires are flat bearing the weight of the car. She wont sell it because it was her ex husbands and this woman thinks that everytime that someone approaches her about purchasing the car.. her ex has put them up to it just so he can get it back! Go figure.. some people just tend to be a little selfish or eccentric.

I offered her 3,000. for the car as it sat and she said ..."What? Did my ex send you here" its totally pitiful !
I said no .... If he sent me ..you'd probably be dead by now!!!
I can totally see why you are divorced!
LMAO damn I dislike selfish and revengeful people ..

Why cant everybody just be happy and get along?

14 Years ago, my wife took me out to eat and we passed by a house with a 49 Olds Torpedo sitting in the back field. Stopped and asked the fella what his plans were. "Well, I'm gonna blah blah blah blah balh" It was a really nice piece.

It still sits there today. Roof caved in rusted out. Weeds growing through the fenders and grill, glass broken, and basically trashed. WTF

Hey Stink...how you know I'm a degenerate? You don't know me either. I'll won't say what I'd like to say. but try curbing your language a little bit. There are some young ones on here that really don't need to read that.

Hey Kev, did you ever notice the younger you are the more you think you have to swear to get across your point? Could it be...IMMATURITY?

No, offense Stinky it's not just you. I do like reading your posts. It's just something I noticed.

Let me jump in...

It does say he's a professional ********** under his avatar, give him a break...he's only doing his job.

Oh...and Stink/Dave...I wouldn't give either of you squat either.

No offense.

Sounds like the guy is a serious collector and it's a free country, he is entitled to not have to share his good taste and fortune with his ingracious inlaws who lust after his "stash". I wonder if he needs a hard working non-relation that could keep that collection in pristine shape...you know a guy who could polish the beauties and drive them occasionally to keep them from deteriotating...perhaps a machinist type who can fix anything and knows a thing or two under the hood of these collectables...maybe a guy like...me?!

Heck I might almost do it for free.

Almost.:p
