Sheet metal Gauge?

Does anyone know what gauge sheet metal that Ford used on the '34 Ford firewall? I want to slightly modify mine and would like to use the same gauge so I won't keep blowing thru it while doing the welding.

Welding..

Not being smart or anything buddy but, if you are blowing through then you'll need to adjust the settings on your welder or adjust your welding methods/habits.

As far as that gauge goes I'm not sure but we normally use 16/18 some 11 gauge
