sheet metal suppliers

Hi, I have a 36 Ford 5W and am about to order the firewall, floors and rocker panels. Any of the products better than the others? Any to avoid? I just completed a 28 Sport Coupe and I found a difference there so I am trying to avoid the same costly mistake. Thanks, Dave

One thing you might think about is firewall to distributor clearance if you are installing a Chevrolet engine. On a model A Ford the firewall actually extends over the top of the distributor making it hard to remove plug wires and impossible to remove the distributor without dropping the engine and transmission. I had to alter mine for extra clearance so when I wanted to service the distributor I could get to it.

Decide on the companies you might want to buy from and check out the "Company Reviews" on this site ( link at the top of the page).

I just finished (about a Month or so ago) putting in a complete Firewall (Big Block, 5" set-back) to rear Tailpan set from B*****n Products (they won't let me write their correct name here even though it's a Company).

They fit pretty well, although their Customer Service was kinda shoddy (I had a question about the lower Firewall extensions and never really got a good answer). Quality was good, I just think they need to work on Customer relations-by the way (and this may sound kinda cheap on my part), they told me since I was buying so much that they would put in a couple of T-shirts-never got 'em

Oh, and I put in those Rocker Panels from EMS-get ready to do some reshaping on those (I used my English Wheel) because they don't have the proper curvature (Door Panels are o.k., as well as the rear Tailpan)-
