Post shift kit experience(transgo)?

Hello
Does anyone have any experience with a TransGo Reprogramming kit for a 700r4? It is supposed to allow you to use your tranny as a auto or a fully manual. How do you use it as a manual? Can you use all four gears? I have considered putting a t10 in but if this thing works well it would save me alot of trouble and money too.

transgo is one of the best shift kits on the market, manual controll means you can hold the trans in any gear with the shifter and it won't shift out, unlike most auto's that will override and go to the next gear by themselves.

Cool

HEY SW: I put a Transco in a TH 350 and it works great. Kit comes with a detail video that you can watch and stop, rewind until you see each step. Their parts are color coded, packed in seperate plastic bags. DAVE SHANK

Not only will it hold any gear but it also doesn't shift on it's own. You can start out in any gear too. This is on the stick shift option in the 2&3 reprogramming kit.

I take it that you can still put it in drive and drive like an automatic?
Also, since you don't have a clutch do you just go from nuetral to first to get your revs up for a launch or what?
Thanks

Cool

TransGo has a kit that they call the 700-2&3 which means it is a manual / automatic kit. The kit has the option of full manual shifts.

Full manual shifts means exactly that, you must up shift and down shift the tranny for each gear.

If you put the shifter in 3rd at a stop, the tranny is in 3rd gear.

You still use a standard converter as you mention, there is no clutch like a manual tranny has.
