Shift RPM's by Gear for 700R4 Trans

I'm installing a programable shift light on my new TCI 700R4 trans. Would anyone know what the shift RPM's should be by gear? I'd like to get some bench mark set points before I road test.
Thanks in advance.

i'm guessing you're trans is a Ford product and

you have a 4.6 SOHC engine.

set the shift light at 5000 rpm and

then go up by 100's.

whatever the best time is over a 1/4 mile that

is your shift point.

have a nice day!

My understanding is it has more to do with your motor than your transmission. For example, SBC is going to have a different red-line and shift point than a BBC, and you could run either through the same transmission.

id figger where the peak is then go a little past it to let the rpm's be just a little better in the power range when it shifts.
