It's a 85' T-Bird with a 5'0 motor an a automatic overdrive, the problem started today getting off the highway, I stopped at a light hten took off an it wouldn't shift till it got in the upper RPM's then it hit hard, this happens thru all the gears,it doesn't have a shift kit

Your throttle-valve cable grommet has probably broken. This will cause SEVERE trans damage in a VERY short time if you drive it like that. It goes where the TV cable attaches to the throttle linkage or to the trans. My '88 loses the front one every so often, but I always keep one in the ash tray so I can fix it as soon as it breaks. It's a $2 part that can cause over $1000 damage when it breaks.
