Shooting Dupont Nason Clear-coat In High Humidity
Hello and thank you in advance for your time.
I re-finishing a large drum kit as you can see in the picture. I have shot tinted sanding sealer for my color coats and then shot 3 coats of Dupont Nason Clear-coat. I let the drums dry for about 3 weeks. The wood still soak ed a lot so I had to sand the clear smooth. I am going to shoot 2 more coats of clear. My issue is I live in Austin, TX and the humidity is pretty darn high for the next 10 days at least according to the 10 day forecast. Any tips on how to not have problems? Here is the project for those interested. |

Shouldn't be a problem at all.
I prefer to paint when it's raining and I've never had a problem, just less dust and bugs. I always use real slow activator and reducers and allow extra time between coats.
