Short block comes without heads. Long blocks come with heads and sometimes a intake, depending on who you get it from.

You need to measure your block to see if it is a short or long block, A short block is 4 inches shorter than a long block. Do not go with a short block! It means somebody has cut off the back two cylinders! Not a healthy engine anymore at all.

Then you would want a 3/4 cam (12 lobes) to go with that short block.
