Tell them you'll do it all for 1/2 their combined salarys and then you can outsourse it to India for 1/4 of that.

But it really sounds like they're trying a power play. Not very professional for a group to quit like that.

Unless your boss is just really bad.

I just went through the same thing. The landscape supply store (mower shop)
went from four employees to just me in a few months.
And the mowing season has started up strong so I was way overloaded at first, and still am even with a new full time employee and one part time employee.

I think in this situation it's time for a raise.

Training the new guy is not much fun either.

THe company was bought out and no one wanted to negotiate the new contract. Me and a one other are not under contracts. The boss lady built this store from one employee(her) to 9 in five years. She left to start her own company and she took her favorite employees with her. I guess she didn't like me too much huh? Oh well, A job is a job, just like the job I was looking for when I found this one. I only use this to supplement what I can win at the track anyway.

Hehehe yeah, the parts manager was fired a few months back, but not long
after that the old manager decided to leave (with notice, but owner not happy) and start up his own business, and then hired the other mechanic, and he didn't give any notice to me or the owner!
