Short throw shifter

Hey I recently discovered that JEGS carries a HURST short throw shifter that will fit my bronco II. http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...15&prmenbr=361

Do you guys approve of this? The product info stated that it stop bolts that will "prevent internal transmission damage", and an oil seal that will "HELP prevent fluid loss". I don't want to but something that will make my trans blow up! What do you guys think?

My shifter already has a pretty short throw already. I just thought it would be a cool addition. Now that I think about it, a bronco II isn't the best canidate for a race car.

When my old man had VW bugs, he used to cut the shifter handle short and glue the shifter ball back on.....Talk about short shifts.....and it costs.....nothing, nadda........freebie,as Jesse would say.

Well I'm not going to cut my shifter or modify it at all now. Yeah I insist on doing things myself and not having a shop do it. If you want it done right, then do it yourself.
