Shorter shocks=lower ride hieghth

If I was able to put shorter shocks on my 81 Lincoln Mk vi would it ride a little lower?

Shorter springs not shocks.

SHorter shocks are often required when a shorter ride height change has been done to a car to stop them bottoming out. Shocks do not alter ride height by themselves at all UNLESS they are Air Shocks!
