True but that 7 "peak" HP motor is really only about 3 to 3 1/2 real HP so powering most two stage pumps with it may be a problem, the ones he would likely find anyway would require at least 5 HP. When you get into the two stage units the ratings are generally closer to fact and as such will require a motor with some real power and not that "peak HP" BS. You will then be looking at a motor with at least 23 AMPs or more and with a much larger shaft than those small over rated motors. Basically if he were to use a two stage pump about the only thing he would be able to use from the outfit as it is would be the tank.
