should i keep my camaro??
 i got this car cheap (my camaro that is). i am into it $4000. i have had it for sale for 10K for 3 months and no takers damned few callers, that should tell me something. nada guides lists it at 12g's. i dropped it to 8900 in autotrader. so it's online as well. my question is this, even tho i can double my money if i sell if for $8000 now, do any of you think 70-73 camaros are going to skyrocket this year? hell you cant even touch a plain jane first series camaro for under 8000 let alone a SS let alone a big block SS. mine is a 72 (strike year) SS with a small block tho. ?? haalp! also, it has a solid bumper, not the rs' split.

Hold on to it, once spring hits and more people get the car bug you shouldn't have to much trouble selling it.
Put up a picture maybe one of the board members will buy it.

A friend of mine got a pretty cherry 73 camaro in northern California about 2 years ago. He paid $6000.00, 350/4speed

You could try selling it on Ebay. Set a reserve and let the bidding take it away.

I would keep it. You may not see a great demand for it this year but I see them becoming much more in demand because the 67-69 are so expensive that it is prohibitive for the average guy to buy one. My buddy bought a 71 for $2500.00 and he's been offered bouble that and its rough. Same thing with 73-77 A bodies. The cars of the 60's are getting too damn expensive for anybody but big time collectors.

If you're not in a pinch for money, and you like the car, keep it. I wish I had all of the cars that I let go over the years, because I lost interest or had a chance to make a quick buck. I sure regret it now. kitkar

well i am keeping it now for a while. last night the ****** bag that i kicked out of my rental house back in november showed up over there when i was working on the house so i kicked his beeotchass and went to use the neighbors phone to call 911. when i was there he came out of my house with a 2x4 and hit the car and picked up some big rocks and smashed in every window because the dumb crack kept me on the phone so long. i wanted to paint it orange instead of gold anyway, and both windshields needed to come out anyway as well as having to replace the drivers window too cause it's all scratched up. he did minimal body damage with a smalll pipe to hence the upcoming paint job. after my body shop replaced the tail light panel a few months ago the paint in the back didnt match the rest either. it was on my property there so my bastard home ins. people get to pay for it i hope cause i hate them. i wish i could post a pic, but it looks the same except for not having any windows. when the paint gets done it will look like those 15-$20,000 camaros with new paint on ebay. a friend has all the pieces for the r-s fish mouth front he will sell me cheap as well except i would have to buy the front valence for like $250. the cops took his tweaked out butt to the slammer for breaking and entering, theft (of my 2x4), trespassing (it's marked no trespassing), making a death threat, and the car.
i am pretty happy about it. i have been trying to find this guy and beat his arse for a long time.

I'm glad you're fixing up the car but sorry it got messed up in the first place.... Reminds me about the time my buddies girlfriend flipped out and knocked all the windows out of his 67 Camaro... Of course he wasn't around and she calls me at 6 in the morning "you....gotta....come over.......I'll tell you when you get here"!!?? She had to pay $1100 to put the glass back in! I bought the car 6 months later and the whole time I had it I was picking up glass...It got shook loose from the trunk every time I drove it.

yeah that happened before to something i had. found glass all the frikken time for months on end! i am just wondering if i should go with orange or metallic blue now. i have a white interior so white stripes are going to be mandatory. i would just have to paint the dash black and dye the carpet if i went with blue. i been thinking there are too many orange camaros out there already but damn they sure look puss! i just got two quotes today. $5000 from the guy who painted my tempest <-- and $6200 from a guy who is on Allstate's prefered list. cool!! should have some money left over for the motor. i have to take it to Allstates adjuster for him to tell me what they are going to give me but i'll have the two estimates in my hand when i go.(wednesday) it would probably get totaled if it wasnt an SS. still trying to decide if i want to go with the fish mouth rs front too as i have a parts car like mine (the yellow one in my album). and am also trying to decide if i really like the 6 inch spoiler or the non functional 4 inch one that came on the 70 and 71 camaro. help me make up me mind!!
