Should I replace Power Window Motors or Door Handles?

Hey Ya'll, Well, I finally got 'Ruby.' A 1937 Chevy Coupe, and it's been like Christmas since Monday! I'll be posting more pics as soon as I can get my feet on the ground from the excitement. Okay, I've got a question, and would love your opinions. As you can see, it is shaved with no door handles. A remote lowers the windows to open the door via the open window. Both window motors are extremely weak; actually, I have to help the windows up & down. Should I: #1 Get 2 new motors or #2 Replace with door handles & crank windows? The windows came from 'Specialty Power Windows' out of Forsyth, GA, and replacement motors are about $75.00 each.(Delco O.E.) They were installed in 2001, and I hate to think every 4 years I would have to buy new motors. Also, which would be more economical to replace the motors or put on door handles & crank windows? Thanks so much, Donna

Think about having some electric door poppers installed, they will work on a remote, keychain type like found on the new cars. This shoud eliminate the extra use of the window motors every time you need to open the door. Nice looking car, you did well. Dan

About the windows.......make sure all the hardware, tracks and such are in good working order and lubricated where needed. The mechanism may be binding.
