Not pickin' on ya dude ... but I've never seen a set of "L/W" valve covers like those before, either.

Seriously, though ... that 383 oughta wake up that ol' Rambler!

I just spruced mine up yesterday,painted the headers,new modified AC/Heater box,new Tech Flex covered heater & upper rad hose,Armor All'd the plug wires,polished the valve covers,cleaned the air filter.

Yep, you are right. It's just a test assembly to see if the headers fit in the engine compartment. So I can turn the valve covers for you The reason the engine is that way connected is that I didn't have a decent setup to pull up the motor at that time and I pulled the engine straight from the engine compartment to the engine stand.
