Not too crazy..
New GM crate 350. Old double humps..ported..2.02..1.60.
9.5:1 Holley 600, HEI, Hedman block huggers. Backed the cam done..went with a more tractable GM performance.
Car weighs 2400 lbs..3.54 locker.
Wanted to keep it old style..like it might have raced (but with modern elecs)

An old racer that has been SBC powered since the late 50s. I've owned it since 1974

..it's a 53 Jaguar XK120S.

Yep..that's me. I live out there by the mountain. Weekends I live in the Jag..

I see a nice 'Vette like your avatar around too..is that yours ? Wish I kept my '57...

(edit)
Just looked through your gallery. Nice cars..and those Tucson dragway pictures are just great. I moved out here in 1972...did most of my racing back in the midwest. Drags and SCCA..some bikes.

This is the big blown 463 pontiac I'm in the process of assembling for my '67 GTO, just mocked up for now.

Shortblock: '68 428 block, bored .065 over, filled with hard-block up to the bottom of the freeze plugs, all new internals eagle 455 crank & forged steel rods, J&E flat top forged pistons, Total seal TNT rings, billet 4 bolt main caps, Clevite 77 bearings, all work done @ Accurate Engines in Kirkland, WA

Heads: 7m5 heads 114cc chambers, with 2.11/1.77 stainless valves, exhaust crossovers filled, ARP head & main studs, butler head gaskets, 8.3:1 static compression ratio

Camshaft: SUM-K2802 282/292 adv duration, 224/234 duration @ .050, .512/.537 lift with 1.65 harland sharp rockers, crane dual valvesprings

Induction: GMC 6-71 blower, old weiand front & rear covers, BDS intake, 3" drive, dual holley 750 vac secondary carbs

Misc: Meziere water pump, Canton oil pan, homemade crank scraper, Melling H/V oil pump, M/T valve covers, hooker super comp headers, flat Tempest hood cut for blower (don't worry, I didn't cut the GTO hood)

I also have a set of fully ported 6x-4 heads (93cc chamber, yeilds about 9.5:1 C.R.) and a performer RPM intake so I swap to a single 4bbl carb and the stock GTO hood. This way I can either run blown or Naturally aspirated, depending on what I'm doing with the car, the swap can be done in just a few hours.
