Here is the Big Block in my '69 Chevy SWB. Its in the paint shop after doing a frame off resto "Pro Street" build. I started on it in Jan. of 2008, as soon as I could walk again after my accident in '07.

I'm right in the middle of swapping engines. As much as I've gotten a kick out of 516 lb/ft at just 2800 rpm in a stick shift 1790 lb ride, I do miss the zing of good hp production on the high end.

Motor coming out;

383 sbc 320 hp @ 4050 516 lb/ft @ 2800

Motor going in, built by Scott Shafiroff;

427 sbc 525 hp @ 5600 550 lb/ft @ 4200

Please be careful Bob. Myself, I don't have enough good sense to have that much power at my disposal.

Thanks for your concern. The fun part is that level of power in a 1790 lb ride and manual transmission. Would compare to 1000+ hp in a modern Corvette, as far as power to weight ratio.

Pontiac 400. Still some pully and hose dress up to do. Block needs repainted but this is pretty much how I got the car a year ago. I guess if I ever blow it up then I'll find out what's inside.

Figured I'd add my Nova to this thread.

355ci, looks stock, is not! I like it plain-jane looking. Even has a Q-jet from a 1976 Camaro. The "oreo" air cleaner is a stock GM piece cut out.
(block is an 010 4 bolt from a C20, flat top pistions, stock 882 heads from the same 1976 Camaro, alum weiland intake, mild performance truck cam, headers, ~300hp)

You can just click "manage attachments and upload it directly. Or you can do like a majority of us do and upload to photobucket, right click, click "copy image location", click "insert image" when replying on here, paste, Donesky

Right below the box where you type in the text, there is another box that says Additional Options. In the center of that box it says Manage Attachments. Click on that and it opens up a manage attachments window. There you click on Choose file, and from there you can browse your computer for any photos that you have saved. Select a photo (up to five) and then click download. Hope this helps. If it's any consolation, I had trouble the first time also. Allan
